Kidnapping
The living in Vancouver is not so peaceful any more. Everyday from the local newspaper, you can always find the messages of gangsters, drug addictives, and kidnapping. One the other side, many immigrants pour into Canada from different countries all over the world. They work very hard to search for jobs of minimal wages for earning their livings.
Joanna and Johnny, the young couples, immigrated together into Vancouver several years ago. They lived in a rental apartment. Johnny was still unemployed.
One day, Joanna found a note under the door which said, “Unless you deliver $25,000 in small unmarked bills by 6 pm this evening, at the spot indicated on the enclosed map, we’ll kidnap your husband.”
Apparently Joanna immediately went to the spot indicated, and left them a note which read, “Gentlemen, I don’t have $25,000 right now,…. But please keep in touch. Your proposition sounds interesting.”
